The federal government utilizes several integrated electronic systems to manage the acquisition lifecycle. These tools support vendor registration, contract writing, performance reporting, and subcontracting analytics to ensure transparency and efficiency in government contracting.

Integrated Award Environment (IAE) & Core Systems

System for Award Management (SAM)

The primary database for vendors doing business with the federal government. It is used for entity registration, exclusions, contract opportunities, wage determinations, and assistance listings.

Disaster Response Registry

A registry within SAM.gov used by contracting officers to locate contractors willing to provide debris removal, distribution of supplies, and other disaster or emergency relief supplies/services.

Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation (FPDS-NG)

The central repository of information on federal contracting. While reports have migrated to SAM.gov, the core system is still used for contract action reporting and interfacing with agency contract writing systems.

Formerly the directory of federal grants and assistance programs. Now fully migrated and known as Assistance Listings.
